Editing your PMs

You can edit PMs after they are sent, and the new version replaces the old version of the PM in the recipient's inbox. There is also nothing in that PM that says the PM was edited, as opposed to posts, that say at the bottom of the post if it was edited. I have to say, I'm not a fan of this feature.

Also, I received a notice saying I had a PM, and saw it in my inbox. Didn't read it right away, and went back to read it at a later date, and it was deleted completely. No record of it ever being sent in my inbox. Not a fan of this feature, either.

I don't know about the editing stuff, but with the old system I had a couple of PMs show up in notification and in my inbox that I didn't read right away later disappear after the sender deleted them. I now read every PM as soon as I get notification even if I don't reply right away. I don't particularly like that, but I don't think it's new.

I don't think PMs should be editable after being sent and received. That opens a can of worms better left sealed.
