Eiroa 50/10 Cigar Review – A True Mythical Unicorn
There are good cigars, there are great cigars, and then once in a blue moon you stumble across something that redefines what a cigar can be. The Eiroa 50/10 is exactly that a mythical unicorn in every sense.

Construction & Cold Draw
The cigar is a work of art: flawless roll, silky wrapper, and a presence that commands attention before you ever bring flame to foot. On the cold draw it greets you with cinnamon candy sweetness bold yet inviting, like a promise of what is to come. The draw itself Absolutely perfect and the kind of performance that immediately sets this cigar apart.
First Impressions
From the first puff the Eiroa 50/10 lets you know you are in for a ride. Cinnamon spice comes rushing in with a long lingering finish across the front palate. Behind it there is a layer of slightly sweet tobacco and waves of thick chewy smoke that roll across the mouth. Every pull coats the palate in richness and there is just enough nutty character drifting in and out to keep you guessing.

Middle Experience
As the cigar opens up the creamy finish expands beautifully, softening the spice and adding layers of subtle complexity. The texture of the smoke is extraordinary mouthwatering flavors roll from the center of the tongue to the edges, leaving no part of the palate untouched. Even the retrohale is a revelation: just a breath through the nose and you can feel the spice resonate in the sinuses.
What sets it apart is how the flavors do not just sit on the tongue they coat the entire mouth in an oily luxurious film that makes every puff more enjoyable than the last. One draw may start dry but it immediately melts into creaminess that feels endless.

Final Stretch
Deeper in the profile begins to evolve again. Bready sweetness rises to the forefront slowly morphing into a warm wheat like note, adding a comforting nostalgic quality that grounds the richness. As the cigar progressed the flavors transitioned into a distinct cinnamon French toast character — a mix of bread, spice, and sweetness that carried beautifully all the way down to the nub. Despite its size it never got hot and remained balanced and flavorful to the very last inch. The complexity just kept building creamy oily spicy sweet always shifting but always balanced.
Total smoke time: 3 hours and 10 minutes.

The Verdict
There were only 5400 of these cigars in existence and after smoking one I can say without hesitation this is a cigar for the ages. It is not just a smoke it is an experience, one that lingers long after the final puff. Every note from cinnamon spice to cinnamon French toast sweetness comes together in harmony to deliver something truly unforgettable.
I rate this cigar 99 out of 100, the highest score I have ever given any cigar. I would smoke as many of these as I could get my hands on and would buy a box without hesitation if it were available in the US market. The Eiroa 50/10 is easily the best cigar I have ever had a true mythical unicorn in the cigar world and if you are lucky enough to find one it is an experience you will never forget.

Final Notes and Thoughts
From the very first draw the flavor hits with what most people would immediately call cedar. But to me the way the sweetness and spice mingle together transforms it into pure cinnamon. It is warm, aromatic, and unmistakable — a note that carries through the entire experience and sets this cigar apart from anything else I have smoked.
I will be honest, at 10 inches long, I was skeptical about how this cigar would perform. Big ring gauge or oversized cigars often sacrifice draw and consistency for novelty. But not here. The Eiroa 50/10 impressed me with how well it performed. The draw was perfect throughout, and while the burn line was not razor sharp, it was never an issue. The cigar smoked evenly and cleanly from start to finish, a true testament to the craftsmanship behind it.
Though I did not know much about this cigar other than its size and brand, I later looked up reviews. There were two: one from Halfwheel over two years ago with a score of 86, and another from Cigar Aficionado, about a year later, which rated it a 92. My cigar was smoked over a year after the Cigar Aficionado review and two years after the Halfwheel review. This strongly implies the cigar has only gotten better with age. I purchased mine at Nolan’s B&M in Traverse City, Michigan this past February and let it rest in my humidor for six months before lighting up — and I truly believe that patience paid off.
Release & Availability
The Eiroa 50x10 officially debuted in late 2022 as a one-time limited edition celebrating Christian Eiroa’s 50th birthday and the 10th anniversary of CLE Cigar Company. Despite that, many brick-and-mortar shops are only just receiving boxes in 2025. Why? Distribution of CLE’s limited runs often happens in waves, with some stock trickling out years later. Add to that the unusual 10-inch length—a vitola that many smokers hesitate to commit to—and you end up with inventory that sits longer, or is deliberately held back for special releases. For consumers, this means what you’re buying today is the original 2022 production, with a couple years of natural box age already on it.
The Blend Mystery
Unlike most premium releases, CLE has kept the exact blend of the Eiroa 50x10 somewhat shrouded. We know it’s a Honduran puro—wrapper, binder, and filler all sourced from Honduras—but beyond that, specifics are scarce. This secrecy plays into the cigar’s allure, with Christian Eiroa positioning the 50x10 less as a technical exercise in blending and more as a symbolic statement piece. For reviewers and collectors, that lack of detail adds a layer of mystique (hence Mythical Unicorn): it’s a cigar defined by its occasion and presentation as much as by its recipe.
Production Numbers: 600 vs. 500
One of the quirks of the Eiroa 50x10 story is a mistaken production count that spread shortly after release. Authoritative sources like halfwheel and Neptune Cigar list 600 boxes of 9 cigars, which equals 5,400 total cigars. However, halfwheel’s review also printed “4,500 cigars” in one place, which mathematically only makes sense if 500 boxes were produced. That contradiction sparked rumors of split allocations (e.g., 450 boxes for the U.S., 150 elsewhere), but no such breakdown has ever been confirmed. The accepted truth is that 600 boxes were rolled, and the 4,500 figure is simply a reporting error that still circulates.
Released in 2022 to mark Christian Eiroa’s 50th birthday and CLE’s 10th anniversary, the Eiroa 50x10 didn’t flood shelves overnight. Many boxes are only now surfacing in 2025, often with a couple years of natural age. Add in the mystery of its all-Honduran blend and a mistaken production count (600 boxes of 9, not 500), and you’ve got one of the more intriguing limited editions in recent memory.
