I got 2 of these from seriouscigars with my cuban classic box purchase. It looks and smells like every other pepin brand I've come across, nice medium brown wrapper, smooth to the touch and great feel, no underfilling no tight spots, and of course triple cap.

Clipped with the xikar Wilkey style to only "circumsize" the cap cutting no filler, draw is on the light side of medium, the way I like it. The wrapper has a slight pepper spice but not as pronounced as other DPG's.

Light up and get a nice even burn with TONS of CREAMY and NUTTY smoke. Instantly reminded me of a psd4 with a kicked up wrapper. I started with coffee as my beverage but soon dumped it in favor of some Perrier to get the full flavor from this nonCUBAN beauty.

The cream and nuts never went a way but was only joined by leather and earth and just enough spice to keep things from getting dull.

Had to grab a toothpick to take it down as far as possible.

Then my g/f's brother came home and fired up the grill, what a killer sunday!

Wow, sounds like a tasty stick! But then it's name "King of the Havanas" gives it a lot to live up to. Nicely done, Aud.

I've been smoking these for quite some time now. They used to be hard to find and were a bundle cigar. Probably one of the most expensive bundles on the market at around $120 for a bundle of 20 torps. I understand they are packed in boxes now and the bands have changed. I'm wondering if the blend has changed as well.

Doc.

I smoked one of these a while back and remember liking it but don't remember too much about the smoke. Yesterday I happened to see them at my local B&M so I picked one up to try again. I believe I spent $6.50 for it.

I had a toro elrdh the other day and it's delicious just like the corona, will be buying a box or two for sure

Wow, very nice review. I've been wondering about these lately since they were mentioned in a few threads around CP and around CW. Wonder if they are avaiable in 5ers anywhere. :whistling:

I enjoyed this one two weeks ago and my perceptions matched yours closely. The price is right on these, too. This Nic puro is Corojo wrapper and Criollo/Corojo filler and binder - typical Pepin blend.

I'm going to do a compare and contrast review between three of his blends soon. It should be interesting. ;)
