I was trying to update the 'about me' page and whether I changed something or not, once I clicked on save and update I got this error:

One of the fields you filled in requires values in a specific format, but the value you supplied did not meet this format ('Website URL').  #10218

I just entered my info in the field box, did not paste anything....I even tried to update it; page popped up to allow me to update text, changed nothing and just click submit and it still gave me the error.

I don't think I missed any posts about it, but if I did I apologize for the repeat question.

I have PMed Rod to just to be double annoying.

I see what's happening.

When you edit your profile, look at the Website URL form.  If it says http://, then delete it.  This must be a bug.  I'll let the developer know.

Ben,
I just went through the same thing trying to take my address out of my profile for several months. After a few emails back and forth with Rod, he told me to " Try typing http://www.website.com"...... Whatever that meant.

Anyways, I then noticed once into "Edit Profile" where it shows "Website URL" (The spot where your email can go, etc. under Contact Methods) I noticed it had "http://www" in the field. Once I took that out for good, saved and then went into my "Edit About Me Page" to save changes, it let me complete them and I stopped getting the same error you are getting. Addy removed.

Hopefully, you find the http://www in your website field and that's the fix. Let me know if that explanation was clear, and if you need help.

That was it!  IT is deleted now and saving just fine.

Thanks guys!
