This is a shop exclusive to Caravan Cigar Company. It has a barber pole wrapper of Brazilian Oscuro & Candella over top Nicaraguan binder and fillers. It is a great looking cigar!
1/3: I'm not completely convinced that this does not have a sweetened cap. There is a vanilla-esq sweetness to this cigar and I don't think I can completely contribute that to the candela wrapper. The flavor isn't offensive like the Zucar though. It has also given me a wonky burn, too. All that being said, it has a pleasant flavor to it.
2/3: Still a pleasant flavor of orange zest and vanilla. This reminds me a little bit of Baked Alaska, which is a delicious dessert and not one to pass up.
3/3: Same flavor.
This cigar is medium bodied. All in all, it was good. I wish I had tasted the cap now, before lighting it just to know for sure about the sweetened cap theory that I have. Who knows, maybe the guy who blended the DTT Creme Brulee shared his secret with La Zona? I wouldn't buy another, but I would smoke it again. There are just too many great cigars from La Zona for me to give a spot to this one.
