Ever been to Playa del Carmen?

I went to playa del carmen a couple of years ago and they didn't have an lcdh at the time. I did get to go to the one in Cancun though. I wouldn't buy anything from anywhere except an lcdh. Too much of a risk. Although, I did find a little shop near our hotel that had cigars and I had a fantastic 7 year old Quintero (I figured no one was going throuhg the trouble of faking quinteros). Other than that, stick to an lcdh.

I've been there twice but don't remmber there being a LCdH there. There is one in Cozumel though so you could just take the ferry over.

damn! two weeks ago when i checked this site:

http://www.lacasadelhabano.cu/mundo_i.asp, it said there was one there at: Avenida 5ta No. 328 y Calle 28, Zona Centro Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo.

Phone : 044.984.806-3686
place called morgans on 5th. but now its not listed on the site. hmmmm. maybe i'll visit cozumel for a day. where is it? but should i really not bring em back?

Cozumel just off the coast of Mexico you can pick up the fast ferry on 5th ave in PdC. I think it costs about $5.00 and is about a 30 min ride. Just don't go when the cruise ships are in port wait till they leave.

they must have changed the link. here's where it says there is one:

http://www.lacasadelhabano.cu/mundo_i.asp?pas=3 I'll check it out. but i do still want to bring some back. so more feedback about that would be appreciated. i'm not leaving til the 29th.

alex, why is there no sense in bringing them back? especially if i have no other way of getting them. is it still risky even if i take the bands off?

one of the reasons i want to bring a box back is to see if i really have smoked some real cubans. (i don't believe i have) i plan on sending one of two of you FOGs a stick to verify
