Anyone have anything positive to say about factory seconds? Any good brands? I went to Rocky's plant and he goes to great lengths to test cigars so I am thinking his seconds may be ok. Cbid has the vintage 90 and 92. Even if they are not the same as the real ones I am wondering if they still may be worth buying.

Thanks for looking.

I don't see or hear anything bad about seconds besides it being unbanded and may occasionally have some imperfections. I would give the rocky patel sun grown seconds/selects a try. Nice cheap budget smoke when you can find them.

The vintage seconds are supposed the same as the regular box cigars, except for colour flaws.

I've had a couple bundles, no construction issues, consistent taste, just not something I'd go out of my way to buy again. Some say that the Vintage '90 and '92 cigars aren't the same as when they first came out. Myself, I think that the seconds are okay at $3/each (regular price) - and you should be able to do better on CBid. FWIW, my fingers got a bit brown from one of them - can't remember which, though.

Thanks for the great info.

I like both the 90s and the 92s - I think I like the 90 a little more. For the price I think they're a good buy.

I like the 90 seconds, but haven't had one in quite some time. I've been looking to score some of the sun grown seconds since I really like the regular sun growns, but just haven't looked hard enough to come across any.
