Fall mailers hitting home!

It's once again that time of year that I love so much ..... Fall Mailer Season! Not like many folks here really give a damn :laugh: , but we're getting hit with mailers big time right now. Loring, Lucia, Carlisle, Roar, Siduri, Clos Pepe, Martinelli, Windy Oaks ....... kinda brings a tear to ones eyes.

I have been getting these as well...I need to move closer to California so the shipping isn't such a killer !!

Curious, what are the Fall Mailers?

There are some wines that are very, very dificult to obtain, usually due to combination of limited production and popularity of the wine. The wineries that produce these wines have mailing list for customers to purchase these wines directly from the wineries, often times this is the only way to purchase these wines. Often it can take a person years of being on a waiting list until they make it to the actual mailing list. Many wineries release there wines in the Fall, shipping when the weather is cooler, so if a person is on a number of mailing list ...... mailing list hell! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I've been on the Rochioli waiting list for at least 5 years now waiting for my chance to purchase some of there higher end wines. Today I finally received an allocation for Sine Qua Non wines, it's taken 4-5 years of receiving "sorry we can't sell you any wine this year" postcards but I am now offered 3 bottles ...... you don't even want to know how much this wine costs ??? .
