this is leave raking the yard time of the year, all those different leaves piling up and and mixing with the rain. Finally got fed up with with all that raking and got a service to do it. Some of my neighbors spend the their entire Fall raking all day long. What do you do? Living in La Grange PARK means leaves falling all day long, i've got better things to do. ;)

I usually rake them.

Then last year the whole freekin' neighbourhood waited till the wind was right and blew 'em all onto my little corner of the court. I had 27 ginormous bags of leaves last year, and only have 2 ~10 yo Maples on my property.

This year, fuck 'em, I ain't raking a thing. The bride is getting twisted though and I figure she'll pay my future son-in-law to do it while we're in Cuba.

I hate raking leaves! I'm with you Claudio, let someone else do it.

I have 0 trees on my property and I get all the neighborhoods leaves blowing down the street into my yard. It sucks. I have one of those blower/vaccuum combos that work pretty well.

I worked on the front yard this weekend. Where there is heavy coverage under the maple trees I rake and haul them off to the woods with a boat tarp. As for the remaining leaves, I use the lawn mower to round up the leaves like a cattle drive, forcing them in to one pile. Just before accomplishing this, there was a enormous wind gust that blew 1/3 of the pile back across the lawn. In the heat of battle I wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as I know is still hanging in space over Lake Michigan.

I love this time of the year, Halloween and the weather (its usually warmer  ). I have a riding lawn mower that I just throw the baggier on and have a cigar. Maybe takes 20min longer with leaves then it dose to normally cut the lawn. Throw the bags in the truck and go to the reclaim center down the road. No fuss here.

Trees, most 30+years old on my property make summer worth living. Almost all my neighbors have trees like mine. Its a leaf blizzard in the weeks before halloween, most of us get out and do our manly duty. I use a leaf blower, then use it as a vacuum to both mulch and collect. I actually enjoy it.

i have a huge maple and cherry tree as well as some oaks bordering my back fence, needless to say, it makes a mess this time of year. looks like a trip to sears for a leaf blower is in order this year. it is a pain in the arse, nice for shade in the summer, but this time of the year is a pain.

I am blessed with a one acre lot with approximately 30 trees on it, of which 20 are 70+ foot tall oaks with what seems like 10 million leaves on each. I bought a leaf blower that shoots out a 200+ mph gentle breeze to move them into a pile for me. After they are piled, they are ran over numerous times with the 25HP John Deere I purchased last year.

Even after doing this once or twice a week clear into the end of November, I still wind up calling someone out in the spring to clean the rest of them up.

I hate leaves !!

Previous house 20 trees, rake all day and night all weekend all autumn. 2 trees were sweetgum keep raking little balls all winter all spring. Had to spend $$$$ on lawn bags to have picked up.

Now, Small house inside city limits, small yard, rake leaves to street and city vacuums them up. "I need time for the play."

My house is completely surrounded on three sides by 75 foot Oak trees so my yard gets buried for about two+ months. Last year I bought one of those Ghostbuster blowers. It was about $300 but well worth it. It's a huge time saver. I go out every weekend for a couple hours and blow all the leaves into a pile and rake them on a tarp. Then we drag the tarp to the curb and dump. Our town comes by and sucks them up two times in November. Two years ago, my wife and I were putting in 4 hours every Saturday and Sunday for about 4-5 weekends.
