I was lucky enough to get a nice Gurkha perfecto in a trade. It was awesome. I really like the shape. Since they are a more difficult shape to roll, these babies seem to get a bit more pricey.

What are your recommendations for a nice $2-3 perfecto? I saw the Flor de Oliva's for $2 a stick. I've had one and it was alright. What are your favorites?

Gurka $5
Flor de Olivia $2

I've seen the Shorty Stories and heard plenty. Hard to come by I've heard. That one is escpecially on my list. That is an funky looking stick. I've heard it is a 45 minute smoke too!

Looks like Famous has 5ers of the Shorts Stories in stock...

Don't think I've ever had on last 45 mins, but if you pace yourself, they can be very satisfying.

Love the AFSS, and I too think they last 35-45 minutes.

Satchmo, where bouts in WI? I'm in GB.

This type of perfecto shape is relatively uncommon now adays. They're handsome shapes, but even well constructed cigars tend to unravel while burning. Although a more expensive smoke, I cast my vote for the La Aurora Coonnecticut or Cameroon #1's. You can get these between $8-12 depending on the source and they're top notch.

My favorite is the Carlos Torano Signature Perfecto, about a $93 a box of 25.

I'm in Fredonia, near Port Washington. I saw the MRepp is in Germantown. There are a few of us nearby.

I 2nd that. Great little smokes!

BTW, he's asking for a $2-3 smoke. All the ones mentioned are more expensive. Short Story is the closest at $4-5.

I was looking for less expensive smokes. There are not many $3 perfectos out there. I may need to buy a 5er of some nicer ones, or split a box.

Cool, I get down to Metro Cigars near Milwaukee once in a while, when I do I'll shoot you a Pm maybe we could hook up. Great post by the way, I like the perfecto shape myslef, and have tried the Don Kiki figurado that were listed, not an excellent cigar, but certainly a good cigar, especially for the price as BrewMeister has mentioned.

TNT Cigars has an unbanded knock-off of the La Auroras, and while they don't hold a candle to the real thing, for $3/stick they aren't bad and they are a very attractive and well-rolled perfecto.
