That's the info I had as well. 1000 boxes made just to bring them back with the LCDH label by Wolters until they were re-released in late 06. There's no RE label, so I never considered them one.
Ah, just a technicality I suppose. I love me some BGMs.
 
Many believe the success of the Wolters Gold Medal in 2004 was the impetus for the regional program in general. While not *technically* a regional release, it was only released by Wolters in Germany. Once HSA saw the success this cigar experienced, the concept of the regional edicion was born the following year. Well, the first boxes of RA belicosos sported a 2004 box date if I recall correctly.

Of the one's I've tried (not all of these and none form 2010), the highlights suit my taste.

THe RA CF's have been my absolute favorite for taste, style and size...FANTASTIC!

(The 2005 RAB would be second)

Wolter's Gold Medal is a fine smoke...but not listed as a RE ( lol, bobby listed it as well!)

I guess I need to break down and smoke one of these someday. I keep saving it for when you come visit. :whistling:

For me, the Punch Super Robusto (Asia Pacific), and the Bolivar Especiales No. 2.
 
Several of the 2010 regionals never made it to production.

One I can't wait for (it's due in 2011 at some point) is the La Flor de Cano Short Robusto. Apparently Simon Chase wasn't satisfied with the green ink on the boxes with the initial prototype. He really wants the box to resemble the presentation of its predecessor.

I too am stoked about these.
 
I haven't smoked a ton of the RE's, but the Especiales No.2 are a really nice smoke in a size that I love.
 
Boli simones and boli gm ( although as stated not an RE). The MC dantes did not float my boat. But my tongue ain't that polished.

Although, I am partial to the ED Conde 109, I thought the ERDM Vikingo and the VR Petit Robaina were delicious cigars.

You guys have me lusting for RE's again, I'm going to need to get my hands on the JL#4 and Punch Diademas again. Plus that Bolivar Armonas looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g
