A fellow I know, from JimD's shop, lost everything except his motorcycle!

news linky

His wife, kid's and dogs are ok...the cat's are missing.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for your thoughts.

Although I only speak with Neil when we're at Jim's( I don't think he's on the fourms)...I'm sure most know of a guy like him at your local B&M.

Neil - my thoughts are with you and your family.

:( Damn shame. Think I might have met him at TAA last year. Nice to see that there's a fund set up to help them out.

Very sad to hear. I'm glad the family made it out. That is the most important thing. Sorry about the cats as well. Very Very sad.

Bob

I don't know Neil,

But it's always very sad to see a family lose everything!

My prayers are with Neil and his family. I am glad everybody is safe!

Mark

Sorry to hear this. Glad to hear that the family is safe. Let's hope the cats ran away.

Gary PM sent.

My thoughts are with him as well. What caught my eye was that the fire was burning outside the front door. That's mighty suspicious to me.

Gary-

Does Jim have a way of getting in touch with Neil?

Might be nice to collect up some smokes and get them to him.

Neil is a great guy. He works for company that has helped many people get clean and sober. Now he needs help. Gary is putting something together to help him. My wife and I are going to get him some clothing store gift cards.

Ok - I am awaiting confirmation of the plan to auction off some items - all of which have been donated.

Details to follow.

------------------

Yes, Neil has stopped into Jim's shop a few times since the fire(and Neil's boss is a regular). If you'd like to send something, please contact JimD(or me) and I'm sure it will get to Neil.
If you care to send it another way, please read the article linked above, as his motorcycle organization has set something up.

As much as the insurance may handle the big stuff....it's all of the little things that make the days go by!

Thanks - Gary

I want to thank the folks who have offered to donate some cigars for the auction.

The initial auction items we had, before the first posting, will be put up by lot number(example - "#1") and run for 4-5 days.
These new lots will be set up as "lettered' lots ( example - '#1-A') and run for a couple days.

Thank you -to everyone- for your generosity.

Gary that is great to hear that others have given to this worthy cause.
