Being as we are still covered in ice here, the first signs of summer appeared this week with Jimmy Buffett announcing his annual shows in New England......

Any other Parrotheads here????

Always a great day of drinking, cigars andpartying.

The pre show parking lot party is one of the greatest times I have all year. Not to be missed....been every year for about the last 15 years.....

Anyone else??????

Not a Parrothead, but his songs sure make me want to move to a tropical paradise.

Wait a minute...I DID! :D

Down here many fishermen hate him because of his support for the manatees. Manatee zones on the water = idle speed zones, which agravate boaters.

I love Buffett, but I dont live in NE. But thank you for reminding me about checking the concert callender.

I was subjected to his music on a long flight home from Ft Irwin, California back to Ft Hood, Texas while I was in the Army after doing Task Force XXI. It was a TF that intergrated computers into the battle field which our Unit hit the Science and Technology section of Time Magazine issued the last week of march 1997. I personally never want to hear his music again. The nightmares of that time still haunt me and will probably forever. :(

"....so, why don't we get drunk, and screw??...."...classic...

I used to pal around with a friend that listened to NOTHING ELSE......guess I kinda got burned out on James Buffett. He knows good rum, though.....

Cheers - B.B.S.

Yes, it was nice out the other day and all I could think was "I don't know... I don't know... I don't know where Ima gonna go when the volcano blows."

You ain't seen Jimmy until you've watched him at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin man!!! Awesome show.

Unless you get to see him down in Hot 'Lanta.

He does not come to St. Louis anymore so I have to travel to Chicago or Alpine Valley every summer.

I missed one tour (major accident) in the last 12 years. It is summer tradition.

The world is ending ... Good news is there's a party!

Al,

You ain't seen Jimmy until you've watched him at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin man!!! Awesome show.

Quade

yea I hear Alpine rivals Great Woods, but all true Parrotheads know Great Woods rule. While I will go to the Gillette Stadium shows, I wish it was back at Great Woods. Much better venue for the concert.

Enjoying Buffett is a mindset. I can see why his music can get to you. Especially when all they play is his "pop hits", at this point I could certianly do with a concert without Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Whether Alpine or Great Woods, there is no better party than the parking lot of a Buffett show.

jkoj......we still need to hook up for a smoke......
