My favorite cameroon cigar (for those of you fortunate enough to taste them while they were around) were the La Luna African Fuerte line. These had just the right amount of strength, sweetness and zest you get from a cameroon cigar.

While I enjoy the Don Carlos and Hemingway line, they are just too expensive for my budget.

That being said, I'm wondering for those of you that have smoked these two budget minded cameroon smokes, which do you prefer and why?

I'm also open to other recommendations if you have any within the same price ranges as these guys.

Thanks

Joe

I've smoked both the Oliva Grand Cameroon belicoso and the Don Tomas Cameroon Robusto. While both are a good "bang for the buck" choice, I think I prefer the Don Tomas overall. Both are fairly mild smokes and have a similar flavor profile, but the Don Tomas was a bit smoother and more refined IMHO.

It has been a while since smoking either of them. However, I have always enjoyed the Don Tomas Cameroon, particularly the larger sizes like the churchill.

I recently ordered some "Perdomo Remainders" from Famous Smoke Shop at a very good price. I haven't smoked any yet but was planning to tonight. They are very economical price-wise. As far as taste vs. what I paid for them...I'll know later tonight and do a review later this weekend.

I also order the rosado and maduro Remainders. I'll try to smoke one of each tonight. :D

I cannot compare the two, but I really enjoy the Oliva Grand Cameroon. I have not enjoyed it enough to buy a whole box, but I always sure to have 3-5 in the humi for when I want something fairly mild and easy going.

I do have a box of the Don Carlos's on the way, be here Tuesday. I didn't think they were that expensive. I am doing a box split with soem guys from work and have never had a Don Carlos, but am looking forward to it.

I like the Oliva grand camaroon alot and keep a box in the gran corona size. I have not tried the Don Tomas but have had mixed experiences with the Don Tomas line.

i favor the don thomas by far.i didn't care for the oliva to much.also, i definetly wouldn't consider the don thomas mild..a good medium
