This one was shorter and a slightly larger ring gauge then the 2021 version. It also struck me as a bit more mellow then the 2021 version which I found surprising given the time on them.
1/3: Red pepper spice greats you right away which then morphs into Cayenne pepper and something sweet, like nutmeg. Kind of like a spice and sweet thing. Soon thereafter, the spice fades away and I am left with light cinnamon and sweat cream.
2/3: Cinnamon and sweat cream continue. Wood notes join in and begin to take center stage.
3/3: The wood notes are very cedary. The Cayenne pepper joins in and continues to build until the end.
Final thoughts: About the only thing this and the 2021 shared was the pepper spice! I thought that this one would have been more robust in flavor and strength of the 2, but that was not the case. This was also delicious, and I think I would have preferred this one over the older version. Go figure!
