I still can't believe these morons. My wife went there to buy a gift membership for my brother and his fiance, however since we ourselves are not members they said they had to charge us an additional 10% fee on top of the cost of the membership we were gifting someone! Are you kidding me? What the hell is wrong with these people that work there? They didn't seem to think that was absurd at all. She told them to f-off and left. We'll get my brother something else for Christmas.

:angry: It makes sense to pay the 10% on items purchase there because you're not a member, but paying that for a membership for someone else? That's just plain bad business and customer service. I'd have done the same thing.
Wurm: I don't know if they have the equivalent over there. I'll have to ask my step mom. But basically it's a discount warehouse where you pay a membership fee yearly to purchase items there.

The membership we were going to get them was $100, so it would have been $10. But mostly it's the priciple of the matter.
Oh ok did a little googling and now know what it is.
We have a similar place here called Metro, but its only for companies so they can buy in bulk.
And damn skippy Gonz, I would have done the same. Asking for 10 percent for such a lame reason was just plain BS.

That sucks, you should try Costco for the membership they don't have an in store tax for stuff like that.

Also Costco has the best return and warranty policy, it is infinite return policy on everything except computers. My xbox broke after the warranty expired and they replaced it no questions asked. You gotta love stuff like that, they also have really great perks; free tire repair, discounts on rental stuff, etc. They are a good company IMO.
