I searched for this but I'm fairly certain no one is as stupid as I am to even consider this as a possibility. So here we go....
I have a fridge and a freezer (mini college dorm size) that are sitting empty and I would like to convert them to Fridgidor/Freezidor when my stash has expands. I used them both for storing meat for work but don't need them anymore now that I have a spare fridge and a chest freezer.
The problem is that both have had mold in them. I had a power outage while I was gone on vacation and when I returned I found thawed meat and mold everywhere. The fridges have been cleaned out and don't smell and haven't showed any mold for some time. Any thoughts on how mold survives and if i haven't had any of it come back am I safe? Anyone know of any good mold tests or had any experience with clearing out mold in the past.
