I posted in the happy thread when my grandson made a hole in one Saturday. I don't know if anyone noticed the hole to his right? It's an outing called "The Big Hole" (Chad @CBoukal you can stop chubbing up now) and the holes are 8.5 inches in diameter which look like a clothes basket, but they put the hole in the worst possible spots. Many times, if you miss, you will be chipping back, sometimes from 50 yards. This hole was 165 yards and is one of only a few on this course that is relatively flat, most are a nightmare!

If you ever have a chance to play in one of these events I suggest you do it, it creates a lot of laughs. The first time I played in it, my nephew and I watched the other two man team attempt a putt nine times and never make it, it rolled back to the exact same spot every time. We all laughed, they quit, and started drinking heavily. LOL

How cool. Congratulations to him!

The CC my parents belong to used to have a member tournament called "Monster Hole", where they would put the holes in the worst possible locations on the greens and on the par 3's they would put the hole in the middle of the green and use an insert that would make the hole about 1/2" larger than the ball. It was a pretty fun tournament to play in, the hole locations were very interesting, some were located about 6" behind a set of bunkers, others were about 3" above a pretty steep downslope. You didn't want to go past the hole when putting, and didn't want to be short on your approach shot either.
