Hey SoCal Guys.

I need a bit of help. My son and I are going to be in Santa Barbara from July 17-20.

We are flying in on Friday the 17th. to Burbank airport. We are driving to SB that night.

We need some courses to play.

Whatcha got for a Norcal guy.

Dude!

You've got to play Rancho Park. It's a pain in the ass to get a tee time and a round will take 5 hours. But the course is a lot of fun and totally worth it. I've been playing 2 or 3 times a week there lately.

Here's another I can recommend... Olivas links in Ventura (on your way to SB).

PM me if you want some more courses

Your gunna be a little to far north of me for me to offer any good course names.
Whatever you do, stay away from Trump National in Palos Verdes.
At 275 plus tax a round, its def not worth it.
The food is pretty good thogugh haha

Mark-

These are all the courses near or in Santa Barbara:

I have played the following courses:

Sandpiper Golf Club - Goleta (Expensive, $180ish but a beautiful course)
La Purisima, Lompoc ($65 to walk, $84 to ride and you want to ride this bad boy as it is a very difficult and demanding course)
Santa Barbara Golf Club, SB (City Course, $40-50, decent but very difficult to get a tee time, and crowded so be ready for slow play)
Rancho San Marcos, Santa Barbara (12 miles outside of SB towards Santa Ynez, $95-$120)
River Course at the Alisal, Santa Ynez ($60-72, cart $22)
Ranch Course at the Alisal, Santa Ynez ($135, cart included)

The rest are private clubs and I have only played La Cumbre:

Montecito Country Club
La Cumbre Country Club
Birnam Woods Country Club
