Good Morning S / BOTL - 2013

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 as always and it's back to work Monday. We had another great weekend overall: Relaxed at home Friday evening with Beth; Saturday - went to the cigar shop to smoke a couple while Beth was at home cooking a Turkey and all the fixin's; yesterday, we did some shopping and then came home to watch the NASCAR race. Congrats to Alex Bowman driving the #88 Chevrolet and taking the checkered flag. The NY Rangers didn't fair so well the weekend, they lost back to back games and both against the Philadelphia Flyers. We'll be watching the NY Rangers taking on the Washington Capitals which starts at 1900 (7 pm) while enjoying primo stogies. Congrats to the NY Rangers on their win last night, the fellas are back at it tomorrow night against the NJ Devils. The NASCAR drivers are in Phoenix, AZ this weekend with racing tonight, tomorrow and Sunday afternoon as well. I hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and enjoys........ 👍
 
Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. We had a great weekend as always: Friday Beth and I stopped by the Newburgh Brewery and spent some time with Paul and the crew enjoying some tasty beers; went to a family birthday party that evening; Saturday was cigar shop day relaxing with the fellas and then Beth and I were invited over to her sister's house for homemade raviolis with meatballs; yesterday was Sunday Funday hitting a couple of breweries and then hanging out at the firepit smoking cigars to cap off the weekend. Congrats to Joey Logano for taking the checkered flag in yesterday's NASCAR race in Phoenix as he held off Kevin Harvick for the win:

I see that a number of sporting events have cancelled/postponed their games, at least NASCAR is racing this weekend (no fans in attendance). Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Sunday. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, We're on 12 hour shifts here at West Point with the Emergency Operation Center in full operation 7 days a week. West Point still has a large number of Cadets, Cadre/Instructors and family members overseas waiting to come back to the U.S. to be tested and quarantined. As everyone knows, all large events have been cancelled/postponed to include Cigarfest up in the Poconos. I'm sure we'll get through all of this but it will take time. Keep an eye on your neighbors and try and shop local to help the small business community. I'll be off to work shortly and check back in tomorrow morning....... 👍
 
Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and we're getting ready for the next 12 hours. I might sneak out for a few minutes today and smoke a short one as I haven't had a cigar since Thursday evening. After a 12 hour shift, all I want to do is sit back and enjoy a couple of beers and get ready for the next day. Remember to stay healthy and all....... 🤓

Good morning all, the coffee has been on for a while and it's time to go back to West Point for another 12+ hour shift. Take prevention's now when you can as Italy alone have roughly 400 deaths a day. That's not to scare you, it's merely the truth. I'll be back in the morning....... 👍

Yes brother, West Point is still open. The 4000+ Cadets are home doing on-line training. The military families that reside on the installation are here and the mandatory stuff is open (hospital, commissary, emergency operation center, etc). All precautions are in place: temperature taken before getting on post, medical asking specific questions as well. Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0345 (new hours as I have report to the EOC at 0600 starting today) and it's Tuesday. States are locking down a lot of businesses to prevent the spread of COVID-19, hopefully this works and we get back to normalcy in the near future.
