Got a ticket

I got popped fair and square, I suppose. 51 in a 45 and a construction zone, at that. The whole transaction took less than 5 minutes with most of that being the transaction at my 'drive up window'. I think the cop was a speed talker - don't think he used 20 words. I could go to court, pay $280 and suffer 4 points, or just take the easy squeeze, the plea bargain, some lesser moving violation, defective equipment, and 2 points. Just sign, mail a check for $230 check, no muss, no fuss. I made out the check tonight, addressed the envelope, and affixed a huge Star Wars commerative stamp - Darth Frigging Vader!

Haha, you take this much better than I would have. I suppose it's a bigger blow to me, but hey, at least you have a sense of humor about it.

6 over doesn't seem all that bad, most of the time it seems they don't bother until 10 over and above. Sorry to hear it man.

I agree 100%, but if you want to be technical...you did commit the "foul". Just one of those days....sorry it happend bro.

Even if we are 'guilty' when they pop us for a ticket, it still sucks. I like to think that now that the bad karma has hit, you are in line for some good stuff soon. Good luck.

Most LEOs will give you the extra mph's, except in a work zone. Good of you to man-up and admit to your fault instead of crabbing like many would do

As an "almost cop" Army MP, I hate stopping speeders. I hate paperwork, hell I almost hate being an MP, but not really....

11 over, that when I stop someone, unless they are being dangerous. Speeding in a neighborhood or school zone, stuff like that. I hope the Cop that stopped you was at least decent while talking to you. Bad cops give all cops a bad name.

Sucks for the fine, In 10 years as an MP I have given out less the 75 tickets...and I use to work radar speed enforcement for 16 hours a day....
