I believe the male black widow gets the short end of the stick...

I hate Spiders.

I purchased a bunch of grapes on the weekend, and for the next few hours picked away at them.
Got up in the middle of the night and without turning on the light, picked away at them.

The next morning I noticed a large Red Back Spider spinning a web over the fruit bowl... :(

Gave me quite a fright I can tell ya.

I'm definitely Arachnophobic. Can't STAND a spider!! Just found a snake skin out under the walnut tree too. Gonna be a fun summer!

I don't mind em when I am crushing them with a shoe or some other object, but other than that I am not a fan at all of spiders. Doesn't help my wife is absolutely petrified of em! :)

My wife and I were working in our vegtable garden behind my workshop this past week when my wife said, Oh my, look at this! And there was a little brown garden snake and as I looked closely there was a little grey cousin of the first one less than a foot away! :D
I like non-poisonous snakes for all the usual reasons, BUT I am with all of you on spiders! My wife, however, doesn't want me to kill the brown spiders in the house! (I was amazed!) She says they are good luck! I, on the other hand, like them alot better after I kill them when her back is turned! :whistling:

ughhh spiders..

We get centipedes up here in the hills, inside the house they're rare and usually about an inch long, but the other night in the drive way I saw one over 6 inches long, scared the crap out of me

Spiders and I have an understanding. They're free to build their webs almost anywhere outside my house and campsite. Any spider caught in my house, my camp or my vehicles (they like to build webs in the rear window indentation of my Avalanche) is toast. And yes I know they kill a lot of insects, but they can do that outside. I'll handle insect killing inside.

Man, My wife doesn't like spiders and snakes......I love 'em. When I was a kid in Texas we used to catch rattlesnakes for fun.....I would not kill a spider, they eat all the bugs that I really don't like.

Not a fan of spiders, either. I've had many a friend and family member tell me "Awww, don't kill it... it eats flies and other insects". Yeah, sure. Nice.

However, my saying is this... if its outside, it lives. Once it gets into the house, it ain't going back outside alive.

I've got tons of them where I live in the suburbs of Buffalo. Some of them get to be the size of a 50 cent piece. I had an Orb weaver spider whip up quite the web under one of our outside lights (front of the garage) when we first moved in. Huge mother! Thought it was cool to let it stay... then it had a massive sack of kids... time to evict!

I'm not a spider fan myself. But I don't kill them...I leave that to the wife. I think it annoys her some, but I figure if I don't "f" with them...they won't "f" with me....and I leave it at that.

I had a pet Tarantula. :)

Spiders and Snakes don't bother me at all.

Ticks on the other hand... BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Beautiful day out. Got in the pool with the baby girl, then went to the swing/play area, and this thing comes running up the side of the sand box. Gimme the dang heebee jeebees!! Just happened to have the camera taking pics of the baby girl, so snapped a couple. Makes my hairs stand on end! :D

Damn those are creepy. I can't stand spiders like that... Generally under half an inch I have no problem holding em or whatever, but any bigger and they just freak me out. My girlfriend likes em, she has no problem grabbing them up and bring them outside. I can't do it without getting the shivers first.
