Got my letter today

Heh yea you would but there was just the little snafu with the military too. Who keeps confidential data on thumb drives…..

Same here - but they make it clear that they're not cooperating with the IRS in any way :p
 
I got my letter a few days ago but it was nowhere near as definitive as what some of you seem to have received. Just words to the effect that my data may have been stolen but there's no evidence that it's been used, yada, yada, yada.

It wasn't all bad news in the mail though. I also received refi offers on my home up to $287,342.98 and another letter that said I could be a $10,000,000 winner!

I found it interesting that the individual who took the laptop home was really old. I wonder if there wasn't an alsheimer's moment and he just found it in that "special place" a lot of us leave things. I would think they would put more info out there if they had a suspect or at least the circumstances towards finding it.
