So I have the In Law side of the family coming over tomorrow, and I really want to sit down and tie a few flies while I smoke a Punch Churchhill from 01. I just don't want them coming into the house and turning there noses up at the stale smell of a good cigar. You'd think that they would understand me smoking in the house a little bit seeing as how I just got home from Iraq. What would you do? ???

Welcome to CP Bro, if yer wonderin', addy in profile.
Tho remember, one whose info and address in their profile be, one happy CPer times 3 [w/ st. paddy's soon need to work on my rhyming]

If weather permits, I'd say kick back on the porch for a smoke or two.
And of course after food you can always suggest a smoke and offer the in-law men some. Then puff away!

In my family, all the men hit the porch for a smoke, regardless of outside temp.

Even better! I'm going through my '97s like there's no tomorrow :D

Damn they're good!!!

First.... lets start this off by saying THANK YOU !!!!! and welcome home....

Second... It's your home and if your wife doesn't mind she is the only one that matters...

Seeing as how you just got home and that's what you want to do... As Edward VII said..... "Gentlemen, you may smoke."

As Zino Davidoff put it, "If your wife doesn't like your cigar, change your wife."
:D :D

I made the right decision by smoking a cigar this evening in the house. I didn't want to smoke in the house out of respect for her and the impression left on her sisters and Mother, but she said, and I quote, "My Husband smokes cigars and pipes, and it reminds me of my Dad<The man responsable for my cigar smoking, God rest his soul>. If my family can't handle that, they know where the door is." Damn I love that Woman!!!

As far as the cigar, my head goes back in amazement with every other puff at how good it is. I need to find a cab of these gems. Cool smoking cigar that develops into a complex smoke the shorter it gets. I forgot just how good these cigars are.

1st- Welcome back, you kick ass.

2nd- it's your house, do what you please.

3rd- If wife doesn't mind, the hell with everyone else.

4th- If they annoy you, just pull out the biggest cigar you've got and light up F 'em

VISE not vice :sign:

I've got a nice vise in my garage and plenty of vices like cigars and gambling

Never seen it spelled Vise! You learn something new everyday.

Hell ya man, fire one up. You deserve it.
