My xicar hygrometer screens are starting to crap out , Looking at the sensor push and govee.

If I am reading right the govee is wifi right out of the box ?
And the sensor push I need to buy an additional gateway?

It depends on which Govee you purchase. The old ones (for $15 on Amazon) don't have wifi out of the box., they are Bluetooth. The new ones (for $35 on Amazon) seem to be wifi. I don't have any experience with the new ones though.

I do know with the Sensor Push you have to purchase a wifi gateway to make them work on wifi.

FWIW - I have a few of the old ones, and the Bluetooth is actually really good on them/

I have Bluetooth versions of both. Can't go wrong with the cheap Govee if it suits your needs. SensorPush is also a solid unit. IIRC they were both within a point and a half, calibration wise. I'd salt test them before use, and every time the battery needs to be replaced. They go a very long time on a battery. I swapped batteries in all mine after a couple years, just to be safe. No low battery indicators, just my own concern. Very easy to recommend.

Ended up ordering the sensorpush. Best I could tell from the descriptions , is that govee charges a fee after 2 years for the wifi version.

Thanks all.
