I like Grand Marnier, a little ice in it and it's just great IMO. I don't know about it with cigars, haven't had the chance but maybe this weekend.
Anyone heard or had this? I'm going to do a search later when the kids aren't yelling at me to go to the YMCA and see how much.

IMO Grand Marnier is a great substitute for Triple Sec/Cointreau in Margaritas. Gran Gala is ALMOST the same thing and is the Italians answer to the french Grand Marnier. I've never tried to sip on it, did have a few shots of it once and didn't think it was bad as a shot, just wouldn't be my first choice. But like I said, the best use I've had with it is in a Margarita with either 1800 reposada or Sauza Conmemerotivo (sp?). Grand Marnier is good stuff, little pricey, but good stuff.

I agree, in margarita's it is awesome. I'm lazy now that I don't bartend and I just buy the premade stuff with it already mixed, of course then I add more tequila ;)

Are you guys talking about the regular Grand Marnier in a Margarita or the Cent Cinquantenaire? I'll put hard cash down you can't tell the difference between them in a mixed drink and it would be a shame to waste the Cuvée Speciale Cent Cinquantenaire (real name) that way. If you are in the market then here has the best price but they only have one in stock and don't deliver everywhere.

I was talking about just sipping the CQ stuff. At the price they show I'll have to settle for finding it at a local bar and trying a shot of it. Thanks for the link!

I've drunk a good amount of this stuff. In hindsight a bit excessively priced, but it is a luxurious nectar. Very sweet though, so if you're not into that then it may not be the right beverage for you. Very, very smooth, imo.

Geez thanks, now I really need to try some, sounds like just my speed.

I've never even heard of this AVB. And here I was thinking that $40+ was expensive for Grand Marnier and the Cinquantenaire is $180 :0 . Knowing my taste buds I can almost guarantee I wouldn't be able to taste the difference between the two so I'll just stick to putting the "cheap" stuff in my margaritas.
