We have finally completed work on our new cigar shop, Tarheel Cigars. We offer a large line of popular premium cigar brands both bundled and boxed. Trinidad y Cia and Rosa Cuba Bundles start at just $9.95 and we guarantee the lowest online price on MonteCristo, Afrique and Platinum as well as Romeo Y Julieta 1875.

Join our mailing list for our latest sales prices and weekly steals as well as useful, hard-to-find cigar related links and industry info. Click the banner below for our easy sign up form:

A note from Ed:

There are those who would like for you to beleive that price should not be a factor when choosing a company to buy cigars from. If you disagree and would prefer paying 20% less for your cigars, then I would challenge you to compare prices and then give us a try. Those "Big Boy" brick and mortar stores can't compete with our super low prices, PLUS we deliver to your door! Saving you time in traffic and money at the pumps! Once you place your first order and experience the Tarheel Cigar difference in price and customer service, you will be a customer for life, which is our ulitmate goal. Because happy customers are return customers, and return customers, are our future.

Looks like it would be a great place if you could offer more premium cigars. The prices on what you have look good. Site looks nice.

Good luck!

Thanks for your feedback atuck. I have access to lots more but have not added them yet. Which brands would you like to see added in particular? I would be willing to push those brands to the front of the priority list. This offer goes to anyone else who doesnt see their favorite brands listed. Thanks again for your feedback.

WOW! Great feedback. This is priceless stuff man. Thanks again. It makes things so much easier when folks give up the info. Makes me think I should put a feedback link on the site. hmmmmm maybe

And as far as your snide remark goes MilesMingusMonk, I run a reputible business and take care of my customers no matter what the expense. Your comment proves to me and others that your opinion is not worth much because we have never done business, me and you, hence you are giving the members of this forum incorrect information.

And you can notorize this: "I have never had a dissatisfied customer that I did not convert into a loyal customer through top notch customer service."

ALL transactions conducted with Tarheel Cigars or The Cigar Emporium(which is down for service right now) are fully backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee here http://www.tarheelcigars.com/guarantee.html

P.S.

Brands added Sept. 20:

H. Upmann Special Seleccion

Ok guys what is the deal? Why the bad rap? Sounds like there is history here.

The site has no decent cigars like Fuente, Ashton, Diamond Crown, Davidoff, and the Padron link doesn't work.

Wow! Given his reception last time, I'm not surprised he had to create a new store. Shame he didn't think to create a new c/p user id as well, although I think his attitude would have given him away sooner rather than later.

The guy has got some cojones, I'll give him that.

Well now that Atuck has reviewed the link that Rob provided, Atuck now takes back his good feedback and now says, "You Suck!"

That PM was a real smart move, dumb ass!

hey guys im just trying to sell cigars. I love em, and love to deal with them. I always come back here hoping to ingage in conversations about cigar stuff and all I ever wind up doing is defending my position. And I didnt change my id name because.....I have nothing to hide. And if you are suggesting that I (and I did this work personally by the way) did all of this work, creating this website, all the hours and days and weeks, just to jip someone out of a $20 bundle of cigars? Thats not logical. I'm proud of my shop and if you guys won't even give me a chance then thats cool. If my brands arent what you want or need, I apologize, I was in the process of adding more brands and had to stop to come to write this. But many people do think my selection is cool. All of the "Brothers of the Leaf" don't buy the top-shelf primos. Some get mid grades or bundles. Some do however go for the lowest online price for MonteCristo, Afrique as well as Platinum, or RYJ. And I think that's what this all boils down to. Tarheel Cigars & The Cigar Emporium's prices are low. Out of all of the criticisms I have read on this forum over all these months, I have never read one about the prices. And maybe this has got some other store owners antsy? I dunno. But I can't increase the prices to make everyone feel all warm and fuzzy.

Geesh...

Sir, I do not mean any disrespect, but your whole argument is moot point in this situation. The current perception that has been projected unto yourself is one of... well... a jerk. Let me recall a private communique directed towards mdman (on july 23, 2005):

Thanks for the PM,
I am posting it below for everybody can see what you think of stealing others copyrighted info.

I guess you are an ass so I wont be kind. I will post what I damn well please and if you give me any more BS replies like the last one, MD cigars, or whatever the name of your little one man show is, will be on my next banner creation as one of my competitors that can't beat the prices at The Cigar Emporium. Think about it. Then mind your own damn business.

Your fairly irrational statement is perceieved as plain wrong. If you wish to engage in conversations in cigars, I would suggest perhaps a trip to the lobby or even more logical, the CIGAR DISCUSSION section. Mdman is a decent person and to intially set yourself up as having a hostile attitude does not help business in any form, at least in this board.

As you can see, the problem is with the attitude perceived rather than issue about currency, despite the pittance, nor does it involve your customer service. It also does not help when you say something like this (towards Miles):
Your comment proves to me and others that your opinion is not worth much because we have never done business

Let's take this statement and disassemble it. Let's take the generic three part dissection.
First, his comment does NOT prove that his opinion is worth more or less. If we even take a brief glance at his record at opinion giving in comparison to yours, it appears that there is an irrational ratio times where is his more valuable than yours.
Second, if the first statement is true, what value do we assign your opinion?
Third and lastly, such a neolithic statemnt reinforces your hostile attitude which erupted from a private message to Mdman.

Resolution? My suggestion would be to start a new leaf. Partake in the conversation in this board. Maybe show some witticism in the lobby and some semi-insightful points in cigar discussion. If you cut back on the vivacious and peevish attitudes, it would create a +12 exp. on your personality points.

Sorry, i don't feel like being articulate anymore. If any of you read through all of this, you earn a +2 respect in my book.

Basically dude, the best thing to do is to explain and apologize for you rash statements. It's really not the best way to create a welcoming and warm environment for shopping, be it virtual or real.

Ya know Jolly, after reading your post here I'm never gonna read or respond to any of the wigged-out ones you normally write. I'm stunned.
