Graycliff Event

I just got back from the Graycliff event that had Avolino Lara Jr there rolling for everyone. I picked up some great cigars that were rolled right there, and a prized Double Espresso Torp that was custom blended. I smoke a small version of the Double Espresso and let me tell you, it floored me for a good bit. I'm terrified on what this huge one is going to do. Here are some pictures:

The unbanded is the custom blend.

I can't wait to try some of these as I'm sure they'll all be fantastic.
 
Thanks for sharing. Great pics. I had a custom rolled Graycliff several years ago ,and it was one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. Enjoy :thumbs:
 
Question... I've never smoked one of those 'shaggy' foot cigars before... do they make a mess when you light them? (pieces of burning ash falling all over you?)
 
no actually they light up very nice. Once you hit the wrapper you can ash it, but no it doesnt go everywhere. The flavor difference is pretty drastic (at least imho) from the shaggy foot to the wrapped tobacco. They are a great smoking experience.

Since you're scared, you can just send the Double Espresso "flower" to me. ;)

I can actually get a box of the Shagfoot Piradmides (well, bundle put into a Graycliff box) still right now. I may also be able to get a box of the Double Espresso's (however these are special ordered and he has only ever got a couple boxes total, so this may be a lot harder). The Shagfoots are available right now though. I think it's around $550+tax give or take. I would be willing to do a split with a couple people if they were interested. I can vouch that they are an absolutely amazing smoke. If I can get 4 others, I would be willing to do a split. This shops rare/custom rolled Graycliff selection is among the best.
 
Somehow I missed this thread. Those look amazing Ian! I haven't had a Graycliff yet. Maybe I'll pick one up at preembargo's shop next weekend. I was told that they were mild, which is why I stayed away from them. It sounds like I was lied to. One more to add to the list of things to try...
