As most of you guys know, I had knee surgery last Monday. Cheekie took a day off work to make sure I had someone there for me. When I had complications, she went to the ER with me. She drove me home, got me set up in the apartment. My kids came up from Key West the day after surgery to spend a week with me. She called every day to check up on me and to see if I needed anything. She brought her son over for Chistmas Eve and Cristams to spend with my kids and I. She took a day off work yesterday to drive the kids and I to Walmart to spend their X-mas money, then down to Islamorada to meet my ex and return the kids to her.

Cheekie is the most devoted friend I have ever had! I really do appreciate everything you have done for me! :thumbs:

Here is a picture of us on the way back from Island Smoe Shop in Islamorada FL going to Sabor Havana Cigar's in Miami.

During Thanks giving I had a bit of drama with my 9 year old and his Dad, Laz was a wreck, he wouldn't smile or communicate with anyone, Emo got him to play, laugh, and calmed him down to the point that Laz was happy afterwards. Laz had a blast playing with E's kids, isn't that what Christmas is all about... good cheer and kids running a muck?

She took a day off work yesterday to drive the kids and I to Walmart to spend their X-mas money, then down to Islamorada to meet my ex and return the kids to her.
He would have done the same for Me and Mine :)

Days off work....avg a couple hunderd bucks ( but hell that is what PTO is for )

Man, I am glad it all turned out alright. I remember when you first posted about the surgery and everyone was saying it was a piece of cake ... best thing they ever did ... yadda yadda. My wife is a nurse and knows that with any surgery, no matter how mundane, there can be complications and those complications can be terminal. I think I decided not to share this before you went under the knife because I didn't want to jinx you or freak you out. About 6 months ago, there was a 22 yr old man who was undergoing routine ACL surgery in his right knee. He didn't appear to have any complications but coded in the recovery room. She said it was very atypical, a healthy young man w/ no medical problems, just died. So I am really glad to hear that everything went well. :thumbs:

Yeah, I just got it about 10 days ago. A 2000 S40 with about 53K on it. Took it on it's first road trip to the keys. Was a fun ride on the way back up Card Sound road. I can''t wait to take it on a ride a little more challanging. Had Cheekies knuckles white a couple of times. LOL
