Just joined the board and wanted to introduce myself. I have grown to really appreciate good cigars during the last three months. I waited until the ripe old age of 41 before smoking them. I am a Sgt. with my department and have worked for my department for over 21 years. I am a competative USPSA action pistol shooter and I travel around the southwest competing in matches. Now for the smoking info. I started smoking mild cigars at first and now have graduated to stronger ones. I really like the CAO Brazilias, VSG's, La Aroma de Cuba's, Opus X's, Padron 1926's, and my newest love of the Oliva "O" series maduro torpedos. I will definitely have to buy a box of these for every day smokes. I know not to ask people where to get Cuban cigars, and that Thompsons is not a good place to do business with, so dont worry about too many stupid questions like that. I recently received a Savoy bubinga large humidor that I have about 40 sticks in right now.

I look forward to meeting and learning from you guys in the future.

I get my Cubans from Thompsons since you asked :p

Actually you have figured out many of the things that took me much longer to realize. I ordered a couple of times from Thompsons before I learned my lesson.

Welcome Aboard!

I had several people on the CA forums steer me away from Thompsons. I have had some fun on Cigarbid.com and atlanticcigar.com for purchases. Once I get a good supply of sticks I will do some trading. I use a really good shop in the Dallas area that has a smoking room in back with a stocked refrigerator (Shiner Bock) and a flatscreen satallite television for members only. Thanks again for the warm reception guys.

Welcome to CP from PA. You'll have to post a pic of your rig sometime. I love to drool over fine weaponry....well maybe not over but near anyway  .

Welcome to CP :)
Check out the newbie trade. A good way to get started trading and get yourself some good cigars
