Greymouth mine explosion

Yesterday was a bad day for our New Zealand BOTL , 29 miners did not make through an explosion in the coal mine in Greymouth.
My heart goes out to all those families, I wish all could have come out , but it is not so.
To our BOTL , Anvil , all i can say is " damn life sucks sometimes ",I hope you and your's are all well and you lost no-one down that mine.
My sadness can not be measured on this day.

Its a sad day for NZ and the family's involved.
I live in the North Island so its miles away from me.
I can only imagine the grief the family's are going through. They reckon all lives were lost right at the start.
Terrible thing to have happened.

I've always had an affinity for coal miners. Don't know why, really. Maybe it was the rabble rousing, Union organizing Good Sisters who educated me, who instilled it in me. I've always found this musical tribute by Merle Travis comforting at time like these.
