Haven't seen that one, thanks for sharing. :)

I really dig that commercial....cracks me up every time.  Very clever writing, these guys that are doing the Geico ads....

I'm really glad they have been taking this new approach with these new "happier than..." commercials then that damn lizard! He needs to be retired. Next up Flo needs the ax at Progressive.

The Gecko's 15 minutes are probably over, but I did like this one....rekindled some memories of childhood cartoons.....;-)

I'm taking a seminar on Gettysburg right now. We were assigned two different books that are both "the real story" (of course) that tell quite different tales.  It's very interesting.  I went there on a field trip in the 4th or 5th grade.  Way too young for someone of that age to really pay attention, remember, or really care too much.  I want to go back and see it again someday.

As for the commercial, someone at AFN was either pissed off that they had to work on the holiday (some poor A1C, probably), or just outright screwed up and didn't run the awesomely informative AFN commercials during the side-by-side breaks in the Indianapolis 500 this year.  I got to watch "real" commercial advertisements for the first time in three years.  Hump Day was the first one I saw, and I had to look it up on YouTube to show the wife and kids!

Although not the oldest city in N. America, est. in 1608,  there are many older, even in Quebec, it is the only walled city N. America.

Doc

Yep there are some older settlements. If Cartier had not abandoned Quebec in 1535 the story would be different ;-)

Have a great 4th of july Doc !
