Just wanted to see if anyone else here had a passion for guitars. Mine particularly being in the style of metal/hard rock. Anyway I play an ebony epiphone LP, usually its tuned down a whole step with .011-.70 GHS strings.

I have an early release EVH Wolfgang. I have never gotten around to playing it though. It still has the fret guard on it.

Thats a shame :D How long has it been sitting idle?

It's whole life, I guess. It is #749 of the whole production run. Rumor has it Ed had his hands on the first 1000 or so, playing with the set up and what not. So who knows? Maybe Ed is the only one who ever played it...

We have a guitar "god" who pops in here from time to time. I believe his favorite of his collection is a black 1957 Stratocaster (not the vintage re-issue). :)

Geez .... we have a few guitars lying around, maybe 6 or so including a 1978 Gibson SG, Takamini 12 string acoustic, and a vintage Hofner Bass Guitar. But my favorite is my early 60's Harmony archtop acoustic guitar. I love playing blues music and this old guitar gives me a great old sound.

Would the guitars name happen to be Blackie? :whistling:

I love guitars and have a Tex-Mex Strat and a mid '60's ES330 but I play bass
and have a RI Dano Longhorn, RI '62 Precision and a blonde Englehardt upright.

At one time (when I was actively playing) I had a wall of guitars. I still have my favorites:

1973 Gibson SG
1989 Electra Phoenix
Rickenbacker bass (forget the model number).

I play "White Owl" guitars...Am about ready for another $200 hollow body electric, to go with my little Crate amp. Cheap and loud. :D

He's on the road..... due at my place this weekend, possibly.

I have a washburn electric that I bought at a pawnshop.
My acoustic I bought at a yard sale for $10. It was my first guitar.

I haven't played anything worthwhile in several years. I wish I knew how to play better.

Who is this "god" you speak of?
Can his name be spoken? ???

You can PM me if it's "hush hush".

I was just gonna ask the same thing.

Anyone willing to divulge this info? It's got me curious now haha.

Sounds like everyone has some nice guitars! Mine's probly the crappiest of the bunch. Maybe one of these days I'll upgrade.

I have a 1980 Les Paul Custom that just sits in the closet.
Never seem to find time to play anymore.

Send it to me Id be glad to play it while its "sitting in your closet" ;)

I gotta play the blues man ;)

I have a seagul acoustic, an old Aria Semi Hollow and a Highway 1 Strat. EC is my role model, I saw him on his last non Cream tour and it was spectacular. I have never heard anyone sound so true in concert.

Reality is that I just plain stink at playing but it makes me feel so damn good I dont care. My work and schooling have taken me away from it for some time but I am finding time these days to play.

As for the God that stops in here, I dunno. But what I do know is there is only one Blackie and only one man that plays it.

Edited to add: Any of you guitar people that have not heard Me and Mr. Johnson should go pick it up. It is truely great.
