Hall of Famer Bob Feller dies at 92

They ought to make him a saint for having spent 16 or so seasons in Cleveland! Speaking of that, I would say that he is the greatest career player that the Indians have had. You can reach back for some great ones from the early days but Feller stands out as being the face of the organization. Rest in Peace!!!

Like Ted Williams, he was more than just a ballplayer. RIP.

Doc

He's about the biggest sports star around these parts, having grown up 30 or so miles from here. Like Williams and Musial he gave up some prime years to serve his country, it doesn't get much better than that. He would've hit 300 career wins pretty easily had he stayed on the home front. RIP Heater from Van Meter.

Straight from high school to the majors striking out 12 in his first game. The best right handed pitcher of his generation. RIP flamethrower.

Feller was a mean Mofo and had a great career. We've had many great pitchers come through Cleveland, but none can compare to Bob Feller. He didn't need 4 days rest between games and one could only wonder what his numbers would have been if he didn't serve our nation.

R.I.P.
