Hi all. I’m curious to know where you purchase your bulk handgun rounds? Looking for a reasonably priced online retailer.

I purchase all my ammo from Freedom Munitions in Texas. Free shipping with a code and I've never had a single misfire with 9mm or .40. I can vouch for their consistency as my wife and I shoot USPSA here in NC and we use their stuff for regional competition. We've been through 10k rounds easy and the FPS they advertise is pretty much spot on in my 40 M&P and her VP9.

I'm pretty sure Freedom Munitions isn't TX based. They had a shop right around the corner from me, but closed it a couple months ago. I think everything is now shipping from their factory.

There's also ammoman.com, lucky gunner, and a whole slew of others that I can't remember this morning.

Have you bought from all of those? I found a bunch googling, I guess I'm looking for some places you all have purchased from with good prices and and good quality.

I just saw the news about their bankruptcy and it looks like the parent company is down in the dumps.

Ammoman I've used...they were the first I found back in the 90's when I got into AR-15's and needed cases of 5.56.
I've used others too, I think my last purchase was from Bulk Ammo.
Sometimes Midway USA has good deals, also Midsouth Shooter's Supply.

Depending on how much you shoot, and how much free time you have, reloading is a fun hobby....but not something you want to do with a lit cigar...
I've had a Dillon XL650 since 1996, and can reload 500+ rounds in about an hour.

I've got a single stage setup for my 308 bolt gun and revolvers.

Haven't reloaded in quite some time, but back in the day I've loaded thousands, probably tens of thousands of rounds on a Speer Rock Chucker. Used to do .223 rounds 500 at a time, but it took quite a bit longer than an hour.....:D

RCBS makes the rock chucker. Speer makes the projectiles.
No more lead for you.... it's affecting your brain. :p:p

If you are looking for ammo in a generic way like plinking 40 S&W and don't care about the brand then I buy my bulk ammo from sgaammo.com out of Oklahoma. Lots of surplus to choose from at regularly decent prices. I've also been pleased with outdoorlimited.com. If you just have to have the same ammo then I use ammoseek.com to look for specific things like the best prices on 308 match ammo.

I use Atlanta Ammo, especially at the gun show at Myrtle Beach. Can compare prices against the other bulk vendors.

Thank you everyone for the tips. I’m finding that unless there is a sale, prices are about the same everywhere. Some sites don’t charge shipping and some do. But in the end price is similar.

It's a very competitive market with pretty heavy volume.

Gun shows are the way to go for sales. Check and see if there any shows in your area. Waiting on the next show myself to get some items.
