I was at Nuchie's in Forestville this evening for a political meeting. It was a last minute thing, I had NOT planned on going but changed my mind late this afternoon because I had to go and cause trouble (yeah, I know very out of character for me since I'm a go-along, get-along, low profile kinda guy who doesn't say very much..... :whistling: )

I am leaving my employer very soon as well...looks like this Tuesday will be my last day. I completed the major project that I was hired for, it was reported up the line as a major success, then a kiss-up got the credit, and management decided that this major success was not the way he wanted to go in the future, so I am outta here. I will never be able to operate under the fantastic new structure I have created. It reallly is disappointing and depressing.

BUT....I am having a celebratory smoke at my place in West Hartford tonight. All CT area BsOTL are invited. If we can get a few guys, I'll get pizza etc.

I'm going to post

Because you're no longer in control. In my shop, there is seldom any notice given when someone is terminated at the employer's convenience. All network, door badge, and even telephone access is cut off conincident with the manager's meeting. When the meeting is over, you go back to your office to pack and find that someone has already done that for you, boxes neatly taped and waiting to be sent to your car. Then, you're escorted out. They try to do this with dignity, but rape is rape, no matter how carefully it's carried out.

I found that the best way to counter the feeling is to give yourself a new job. Try to maintain your old routine and habits, but instead of heading for the workplace, go to work to find another job. Don't spend even a day doing nothing (unless it's at Jim's shop!). Regain and maintain control in your life. Good luck, Brother, and keep us informed.

Sounds like you've got quite a bit of first hand experience being terminated null.
 
If you guys get into a woman's squabbling, cackling, just plain bitching contest in my thread. I will not be happy. Not that it mtters but, it needed to be said!!!!! :angry:

Why would you want it to be any other way than it's going to be? That's why you came to this place and enjoy hanging out!

Fortunately - you won't see much squabbling and cackling - but you will see some bitching. Along with ass-slapping and towel snapping. :whistling:
