If it wasnt for the fear of spending 10 years in a Florida jail, I'd bring them with me next month :D
 
Yeah I hear ya. If you didn't care about the box you could always bring some without the bands. Just sayin ;)
 
Yeah but does she work for the Customs department at Orlando airport? That would make things much easier :D :D

I did once do the 'band removal' thing but that was when I was driving across the border from Canada. Never tried it with a transatlantic flight.
 
I completely get why someone wouldn't want to do it but I've never been asked. Then again I've never brought a whole box.
 
I was on a cruise in December, from the UK to Fort Lauderdale. The last stop on the cruise before reaching Fort Lauderdale was Nassau, and there are a whole lot of cigar stores there. Some reputable, some not so much. I went in to one of the more reputable ones, and there was a guy in there buying a LOT of Cubans. 
 
I bought just one, which I was going to smoke outside the store, before going back to the ship. While I was standing there, the big spender came out of the store and I asked him how he was planning to get them in to the US, and he just said "Ive done it many times, I've never had a problem". He must have balls of steel (as well as a massive bank balance) because he had about 7 or 8 boxes of cigars and they were definitely genuine and definitely Cuban.
 
That's nuts! There's no way I would do that. He's just asking for trouble. I'm way to chicken to ever try something like that
 
Well, I like Cubans, but I think a lot of them are over-rated, and I certainly wouldnt put myself in that position, especially when there are a whole lot of very decent alternatives out there.
 
I dont know what the penalties are exactly but I hope I dont find out through personal experience.
 
I agree, with the cigars that are being produced today Cubans don't seem as good as they used to be. Plus, you're more likely to find a dud because most don't have the quality control
 
A lot of them have the reputation but not the quality. I'm always wary of spending my money on Cubans, because they're simply not as reliable as other cigars.
 
that would be amazing but please don't do anything you're not comfortable with. I don't want to be known as that A**hole online that got you in trouble. On the other hand, you'd be the man!! :thumbs:
