I got to spend time with family and friends. Got to play 36 holes of golf. Shared beverages and cigars with friends. But the most memorable thing that happened was a simple gift. A buddy of mine has been going through some very rough financial times over the past year. Our crew has tried to be as supportive as we can. He's kept a positive face on, but his situation has been wearing him down.
 
On my birthday, this guy pulled some scarce cash together and gifted me with a Padron 64. That gesture made this a priceless stick. I lit it up and enjoyed the most delicious stick I've ever had with my buddy. That underscores what I believe makes cigar smokers a special breed. That gesture was a major reason that this was one of the best birthdays I've ever had.
