Well, I'm going to Houston for the weekend. Family reunion is being held on Father's Day Weekend. Fitting, since I can't stand the friggin' things.

Anyway, I don't know if I'll be able to check in on here or not so I wanted to wish the under-appreciated CP Dads (like me) a VERY happy Dad's day!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and nice Father's Day complete with goofy gift getting. :)
 
Trying to make some "dad time" this weekend...yesterday's smokes were a La Luna LHB Petite Corona (AM) and an El Rey Del Mundo "Choix Supreme" (PM).

Today, my two boys and I are going to a local gun show with a buddy and his son, then out to lunch. This PM will be me, on the deck, with one of three special gars I've been saving with "01" box codes and a nice bourbon..... :thumbs:

Plans for the beach fell through, seeing how crappy the weather is here. Going to my parents for a BBQ (ugh!). Gonna smoke an AVO LE'05, in honor of Ggiese celebrating his first Father's Day as Grandpa.

Best part about the whole thing is my daughter is here spending two weeks......

Just returned from a great Father's Day weekend! :thumbs: The family reunion turned out to not be so bad after all. The kids had a BLAST so that made up considerably for the pricks of the family. lol

It was nice to see some familiar faces that I don't get to see often sinced my whole family is in Houston. Had some good smokes and good times.

I hope everyone else had as good a weekend as I did. :D
 
Ya know Grand, I kinda figured it would work out better than you thought ;) :thumbs:

I have two step kids but didn't hear from them which is fine. I get along with them great so that's what matters.

I spent the day cutting trees down to prepare for my stone wall project later in the year. It's great exercise and I gotta do something to lose the gut I've built up over the winter :laugh:

Finished the day off with an Añejo Shark while I'm sitting here wondering why I'm so sore :laugh:

I'm gettin' too old for this yard work stuff :D
 
Hats off to the great dads here on CP (Nooblets and FOGS as well) from the Commanders Wife! ;) It's not easy to be head of the household and you are all appreciated for your outstanding job (as well as your fine taste in cigars! :D :cool: Keep up the good work and don't forget to use the "Marital Bliss Calculator" :laugh: on your lovely ladies (except Swissy cause he needs to spend a whole lot more than what the calculator projects to spend!! :laugh: :laugh: :whistling: )!

A little late but happy fathers day yall. I spent the day fishing with my son and playing in the yard with my baby girl. I must say, it was a pretty good day. Found time to smoke an El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme while on the boat fishing.

I've been trying to lose my gut as well. I think I succeeded a bit in that yesterday as I spent all day outside setting up in the hellish heat of the Houston sun. :laugh:
94 degrees with a heat index of 97 degrees. :0
