Has anyone downloaded IE 7?

Firefox has had that feature for along time. IE7 would have to blow my socks off for me to switch back.

Tabbed browsing is the only way to go. I tested the beta version and it seemed pretty nice. I may have to switch from firefox. It depends on performance though as FF in my experiance is much faster.

Firefox !!!!, not only tabs, but many extensions are available as well.

Firefox is definitely ahead of IE in terms of ease of use at this point. The tab feature has been around for quite sometime now. And the number of plugins available are quite impressive. The one that I have been pretty fond of for a few months is the GSpace plugin. This allows you to utilize your GMail account space as a file store. Very nice.
As far as IE7, there are more sites that are compatible with IE compared to Filefox, but I'll probably wait until SP1 is released before going to IE7 full time.

Just my .00002

BTW, for those of you who do not have a GMail account....let me know...I have a bunch of invites and can send some out. 2GB's of email space..nice.

I have a friend who worked (interned) for Microsoft this summer, and he said most of the people who worked there used Firefox.

He also said several people used PowerBooks.

Take from that whatever you want.

Didn't know anyone over 10 years old, or having computer more than 3 months is still using IE :|

Well, EXCUSE the hell out of me! :p Actually, I guess I never really thought about browser's since I'm usually in a rut with surfing the net...I used to use Netscape long ago, but gave me many problems at the time. I guess since I've never really had a problem with IE, work uses it, and I never really had any recent issues with IE, I guess I'm stuck for now. BUT will definatly look into FIREFOX! :D

I have one very limited circumstance at work in which I have to use IE for a couple of minutes once or twice a month. Otherwise it's always Firefox.

agreed jabba, i wouldn't d/l it, only after the 7,500th security patch is out to make it safer :p ....i'll stick with mozilla firefox, tabbed browsing has been in there for a few years now, and it is much securer.

IE and all it's little quirks. Have any of you guys ever looked into the index.dat file?
Some interesting info in there if you are the type to diligently clear all your browsing history.

Download a freeware tool that scans and reads this file (i.e. Index.dat Suite 2.9.5) and scan for the index.dat file.

Internet Explorer sucks. Not only is it buggy and prone to vulnerabilities, but it also doesn't have full DOM support. Firefox is DOM compliant and W3C compliant. Microsoft does their own thing with their own propritary crap. Since I'm a web developer, IE is the biggest pain in my butt.
