I came across this site the other day, and now I'm curious. It says I get a free bid for registering...what do you guys think? Waste of time? I want to get a new iPod for myself as my dog just chewed the crap out of my old one.

Looks pretty gimmicky to me. You buy "price lowering bids" for $0.75 minimum but using one only lowers the price by $0.25. So three or four people have to be "bidding" to lower the price to equal the cost of one of your bids. You also have to be there the whole time working it and hope no one beats you to the buy button wasting all of your bids for you. You're basically subsidizing someone else's purchase. I wonder if there are Obamacrats behind it?

I think I'll stick with Buy.com and TigerDirect.com. Just my two cents.

Interesting model, but it will fail to me. The bid costs $0.75 and only reduces $0.25, so it doesn't make sense to buy-down the price. The model seems to hope that other people buy-down the price and then you make the final purchase. But really, at full-price, who is going to spend $0.75 to reduce it by $0.25 and then walk away from it. And then you need tens or hundreds to do this so you can get a deal.

There are other sites out there that are legit. You really have to spend alot of time working on the same item to actually win it.

Obamacrats? Subsidizing other peoples purchases...hahaha. Thats funny. Seriously though, if a bunch of people do check the price and it's even like 10% less than retail or sale price, and I do want the item isn't it worth it to spend the .75?
