Glenfiddich 21 year old Gran Reserva

The explanation on Binny's website is

Glenfiddich 21yr Old Gran Reserva Rum Cask Finish
The long awaited US release of a European mainstay from the Glenfiddich stable, finished in casks from a famous Caribbean rum producing nation.

Does this mean that Glenfiddich dropped the name of the rum producing country in order to make sales to the US? This used to be made with Cuban rum casks, and I thought it was called Havana Reserve. Have they changed the location of where they procure their barrels?

To answer my own question, I have received information from probably the most knowledgeable Whiskey source (he can post if he likes) on CP that they are in fact two different drams. The American version is as listed, made using Caribbean rum casks. The UK version is a 700ml bottle instead of the US 750, and is finished in Cuban rum casks.

The American version costs me locally $110 before tax, putting it almost at 120 after tax.

I'd like to try both and see the differences between them.

I've had my eye on the Gran Reserva also. It's $99 here. I'd like to compare the Gran Reserva to the Havana Reserve, but the cheapest I've been able to find the Havana Reserve is around $250, plus shipping from the UK. That's more than I'm willing to spend to satisfy my curiosity.
