I've seen tractors with longs arms and mowers attached to them for mowing along the interstates. Sometimes they'll turn them vertical and move along a line of trees/brush and cut them all straight up and down...

There are two types of bank mowers. The long arm type and the fixed hinge type. I have the fixed hinge type. It is a little limiting but I do mow the sides of my trails the way you describe. Makes a nice square trail in the woods cutting the limbs that are continually seeking sunlight :angry:

The mower used in the YouTube was an Exmark. I have one just like it but I can't take credit for the idea nor will I use it.
