Im not sure if its appropriate to post this here but thought someone might be interested.

Im not affiliated with the seller at all, I just seen it trolling for stuff.
I dont know anything about the brand either but it looks to be a $500 item on Amazon. The makers website has the owners manual if you want to know the workings of it.

I talked myself out of it as it doesn't do anything my wineador doesn't do. I don't need the cooling part. If I didnt have my set up Id prob be on this.

Very handsome! I’ve never plugged one in, I have two similar, but my basement is the perfect temperature year-round.

Someone should snag that! I think just the drawers and shelves in my wineador cost that much alone.

Not a humidor but better...free.

Poormans tower of power.

Paging @Mr. Behcet I've never plugged either of mine in. Had I seen this before getting my last one I'd have been all over this. Not replacing my two at this point, though, they're all seasoned and settled and stocked.

That is worth a few hour's drive to snag. Would make an awesome fridgeador!

Its a 2.5 hr drive from here on a good day and prob $30+ in tolls. I really had a hard time in posting this and not just driving there today for myself.

Here's the manual with dimensions.

I dont know if I could load that guy up and say with an honest face I would smoke them all in the next 15-20 years. I guess you could just get a bunch of empty boxes from a B&M and faux fill it. 😁

It would be some kind of impressive sitting in my nook tho. Its a bonus that the fans still work.

Who knows maybe I will say F it and go tomorrow if its still up. Looks like it would be a long reach into the back to grab a box or stick tho.

Maybe I will start trolling the local recycle center for dead ones....

^^^ This. If you know the fans work, but it won't cool, that's golden. These things have ridiculously good seals. I have several of the spanish cedar trays from Amazon in one of mine, and those work well, too. You may have to glue up some loose pieces, but they are cut and fit well.

"Dead" fridges are the best cigar humidors, IMNSHO. I think using the coolers complexifies things, but mine in my basement work perfectly, and the temp is 60-65* year round, and I run them at 67-68% RH. I have to add water (very little) maybe once a month to maintain that.

Good looking out! I'd be all over it if I hadn't just perfected my tupperdor set up lol.

I would bet 2 pounds would do it. I have a couple in the plastic tubes the bead folks sell, but they are not necessary. Others I have in the little string-tie bags you put charcoal in for fish tank filters, find them at the pet store. Place them at four levels top to bottom, and get a couple of Oust fans NOS off eBay if the fans in the coolers don't actually work. Hopefully they do.

@CigarStone has a post somewhere about conditioning the beads to where you want them somewhere here, but I can't find it. IIRC he puts them in something like a Sistema container loose in a thin layer with a bowl of distilled water and colloidal silver in it until they get up to around 65%. Then he removes the water and puts in a load of Boveda packs of the desired RH, more is better. Then let it sit for a long time. Six weeks or so comes to my mind, but he'll pop in and correct me if I misstated any of that.

That is an awesome find, even if it was not free!

I will prob twist and turn the next couple nights about this. It is waaaaay more than I need, but GD for free!

I dont think the oust fans will cut it and hope the fans that are in it work like they say if not I will have to rig something up. Im thinking 2.5-3 pd's of beads in about 6-8 sandwich size containers with a mesh cover stationed throughout. Those containers are my current setup. I really like the no hassle of the beads vs buying something more active that I would have to drill a hole for the wire and is a one-way system.

Shooting from the hip Id prob just move my stuff to the top half then fill the bottom with some empty boxes from my local place to fill the dead air space and serve as eye candy then fill as I go. Id probably ditch my tupperdor and just have a box with misc singles in it.

You gotta have this.

I have a 36 bottle wine fridge that I converted into a fridgeador, and a 110qt cooler that is a coolerdor. (pics below)

The fridge was easy to convert. Just had to make a couple shelves. I've never plugged it in, so I dont even know if it runs/works. Have no real consideration of actually finding out. :) I have just about 3 pound of 69% beads in there. The lowest its ever been was around 66% when I had the door open for a while looking for something to enjoy. The highest its ever been is 70%

The cooler was already converted when I got it. A friend wanted a bigger sized cooler to store his stuff in, so I bought a 150qt (he picked it out) and he gave me his old one. I have just about 3 pounds of 69% beads in that as well, and the range in almost exactly the same as the fridge.

The pics below are probably 10 years old. Maybe a little older. The contents have multiplied in both. It is a real jenga-fest on them now. :)
