My main question is why is the large 8oz bead case $50 and a half pound of beads $18 + $3 for a mesh bag? ???

It looks as though with the Heartfelt case you are getting the case plus the half pound of beads for $50, so the difference would be: Case + Beads = $50 vs. Beads + Meshbag = $21.

alright my mind is made up. If they both preform the same I'll just do the mod :thumbs:

yea the self mod is good to go. I didn't even use the sock i just use a piece of screen from a front door i took down, it works great.

That mod will work well.

I did exactly that procedure, except my humidifier had a screen over the
foam, and I just filled the unit with beads after removing the foam.
The only problem(?) was that one of the little tangs that hold the humidifier
closed broke off, when I pried open the unit. No big deal, there are several.

The mod you linked to is very well done. :thumbs:
