Jesus, Mary and Joseph! We just had an incredible weather incident. Over 100 houses damaged, and 6 destroyed. Hundreds of trees down and uprooted. Emergency crews can't even get to the injured. One killed that we know of. There were funnel clouds spotted, but no touchdowns. Flash floods, the whole nine yards. There will be investigations by the National Weather Service. I was lucky, only some water in the basement. Time for a drink and a cigar.

Are you sure you weren't driving in Miami rush hour traffic about 45 minutes ago?

In all seriousness, glad to hear that you and yours made it through relatively unscathed. Sounds like a really harrowing experience for everyone in your area.

Glad to hear you and yours are safe, Chief. Got a supercell over my house as I type. Still don't mean Al Gore is right, though.

Good to know you are safe Doc. Was it just stright-line winds then that did this if no tornados were reported touching down? I ask because we had the same thing here in Iowa Sunday night. We had 67mph winds at my house and as high as 94mph elsewhere in the state. No tornados though, just wind and driving rain. Stay safe and enjoy a nice relaxing drink and smoke.

Holy crap Doc! Glad to hear you guys are ok.

We are heading up that way sometime in August, now you are scaring me ???

Brian

Glad you made it through o.k.
We had a Tornado and severe winds a couple of times a few months ago.
First time I really saw the aftermath up close and personal.
Quite sobering.

Glad you are okay. We had a ton of microburst the day before. I can't remember how many claps of thunder we heard over a very short period of time.

Glad you're OK. It's a norm around here, for severe weather during the summer, but I've never heard of it that far north.

I don't imagine you guys see many tornados up there.

Glad you are OK.

I know you flatlanders are used to this kind of weather, but we sure as hell ain't! I've never seen so many severe thunderstorms, here in N. New England as I've seen in the last few years. Here's a link to the Concord Monitor, if you're interested.

It's official. It was an F2 tornado. About as common around here as a rooster pissin.

glad you and the fam are OK... The weather is getting crazy all over the world lately. My mother swears it is because of all the satellites and stuff we are doing in space.

Good to hear you road it out well. We just had a hurricane hit our Gulf Coast. Can't remember one coming in this early. It officially starts on June 1st I guess but this is still early.

Meant to ask you Doc, if your everyone sat around whining about FEMA, or whether neighbors took care of neighbors and got on with it.

This is New England, Bruce. Every damn fool with a chainsaw was out helping those in need. Folks were worried about people not experienced hurting themselves. I haven't heard any whining about FEMA yet. Probably wont be. It's an election year and Sununu is vulnerable. ;)
