I've had the chance to drive the baby brother, the Gallardo. A family friend has one. Its insanely fast. I entered a freeway and by the time I got to the end of the onramp I was pushing 140.
Fastest I've ever driven, however, was in my 2001 SS camaro. Factory speed limiter is set to 162. My car was was completely modified with custom programming, so there was no limiter. The speedometer was buried at somewhere around 180ish. This was on Highway 146 coming from Seabrook into Baytown. I was actually on my way to the strip for a drag day and felt the urge to wind her out.
I'll never be able to afford that car, but soon I'll have my 911 GT3.
