As most of you Massachusetts guys already know, I follow the Boston-based band
THE FOOLS and they're doing a show at the Beachcomer in Quincy this Saturday.

If any of you guys want to join us, please stop by. I'm making the trip up with about seven of my friends from home to see the show.

I'm hip to The Fools. I saw them quite some time ago, they opened for the J Geils Band. Wow, what a flashback. I have one of their albums here called 'Sold Out'. Good sound.

Hey CC I'm going to try to crawl out from under my domesticated burbs rock and join you in Quincy!

CC.

I always say let me know when you are coming. I will let you know on Friday morning if I can come and meet you.

If not I will have to wait until you come a little closer to my town.

WOW!! That was their first album (1980), I have it as well. In the play list for shows these days from "Sold Out" they do:
Psycho Chicken
It's A Night for Beautiful Girls
Spent the Rent
Night Out
I Won't Grow Up

Spent the Rent is my favorite Fools song

There's a different drummer now and a different bass player from those days. When and where did you see the J Giels/Fools show? I'd imagine it was in the very early 1980's.

Oh and Gabe, be sure to look for me. As I mentioned, I'll be in a group of seven or eight people and probably wearing my Astros hat :p

Just got back from the show and it was FANTASTIC!! I ended up going with four good friends of mine and had lots of fun.

Gabe, if you were there I missed ya, sorry :( We were sitting at a table right in front of the stage over on the left side.
