For years, I've consumed almost all spirits exactly the same way: rocks, splash of club soda. Just a splash, usually, and never more than a half-n-half proposition.

Pulled the trigger on a bottle of Zaya today, and the salesgal enthusiastically insisted I try it neat before I did anything else to it.

I'm drinking it now on A rock. As in one ice cube. What an amazingly tasty rum.

I've been meaning to try this....I'll have to swing by the store tomorrow and give it a whirl. I need some variety in between my kettle and sodas and scotch evenings.

Funny, that's exactly how I like to drink rum :thumbs:. Unfortunately, Zaya (or Ron Zacapa) isn't distributed here, d*mmit. I have to settle for Havana Club 7 :blush:.
