As I posted yesterday, I went to a Hooka (Shisha) bar last night. It was in Columbus Ohio, in the North High St area, just north of the Ohio State Campus. Upon entering the sound of jazz and the smell of sweet fruit flavored smoke greets you. It is a very pleasent smell, kinda' like entering a home wear pies are being baked.

There were lots of flavors of shisha to choose from, I got cherry. They do have a cavendish that is not on the menu, but you can request it. They also served turkish coffee, tea, and regular coffee. You could also get cold drinks, tea and soda. They also had some mid-eastern food.

The seating arangements varied from tables and chairs to soft overstuffed sofas and chairs to throw pillows on a rugs on the floor.

The smoking experience was very pleasurable. The smoke was cool and tastey, no burn or harshness. I was not a big fan of flavored tobaccos, but the smoke was very nice. My buddy and I got there around 9:00 PM and our bowls lasted until 1:30AM. It was only $7 for the bowl. We each got our own flavor. It was very relaxing. Being a die hard cigar and english pipe smoker, I wasn't sure about all the fruity flavors, but I actually quite enjoyed it.

Yes a very pleasurable experience. The Shisha was good and as an added bonus there were lots of pretty co-ed girlies there!!! :p . I will definately go back.

I was in Egypt for 5 weeks (over the Millenium) in 2000. In Cairo, they had a sheesaw bar on every corner. I came back to Kenya (Peace Corps) with my own sheesaw pipe and a years worth of apple tobacco. I smoked that pipe every night until I finished my service. It broke as I was packing it to come home. Haven't smoked one since.

I need another.

Sorry for your loss :(. Apple is by far the best flavour and its so soothing when you smoke shisha.
